LaLaport Japanese Mall Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

We had a great visit to the huge Lalaport Japanese Mall in the Bukit Bintang Area of Kuala Lumpur. There is so much going on here. A roller skating rink, cat petting facility, food all over the place, stores, Japanese experience etc. Plus there was a Wadaiko Japanese Drum Show for the New Year. So much fun.

Happy New Year 2023 from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

Thank you so much for everyone who keeps up with my Blog. I really do appreciate it and I hope the best for all in 2023.

We had a wonderful time at the KLCC New Years Eve Laser Light Show. I tried to get a video of one of those super cool….”hey it is us at”  videos you see all over on social media.  But….. you can only work with what you have got. lol What I got was a video that is a perfect representation of how our life works. lol Have a fabulous New Year.

We found a Taco Bell! Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Well we had to go…it is a rule when you are in a foreign land that you must go to the fast food places from your home country to compare and contrast.  At least that is Jeffrey’s rule.  To be honest I think he just wanted Tacos…lol  To the counter we went.  It looked right with all the branded images and outfits.  The ordering was a bit of a thing.  I have never been asked so many questions about a number 1 meal (2 Supreme Tacos and chips or fries)….ummm fries with tacos…no thank you.  But then the questions started….

Trip to Ya Nui Beach at the tip of Phuket, Thailand

We wandered out to the beach and it was beautiful….small but beautiful.  There were just a few people who were lying around on towels or sitting in the shade of the palm trees.  I mean just perfect.  We selected our spot and laid out our towel and within 5 min it started pouring down rain…lol.  So the entire beach gathered their items and dispersed mostly to scooters. We went across to one of the restaurants.  It was a delight beautiful garden atmosphere.  That is when I noticed the Black Bat Wing Orchid….casually sitting in a pot near a table.

Big Buddha on Nakkerd Hill in Phuket Thailand

One of my favorite places in Thailand to visit is the Big Buddha above Karon. This is an amazing and very calm place to visit. The big Buddha of Phuket Thailand’s official name is Phra Phutta Ming Mongkol “the Cherished Auspicious Lord Buddha atop Nāga Hill” . It is located at the very top of Nakkerd Hill. Construction began in 2004 and is the 3rd tallest Statue in Thailand. The Big Buddha statue is 45 meters (148 feet) tall and 25.45 meters (83.5 feet) wide and is made of concrete and covered with Burmese white marble.
