Batu Caves Complex Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
I have wanted to visit the Hindu Temple at the Batu Cave complex for over 12 years now. It has just never been the right time and I will say it was definitely worth the wait. Here is some background info. The Batu Cave complex is located about 14km outside of Kuala Lumper Malaysia. It is a very easy train ride from KL Sentral Station where you are dropped directly in front of the Caves. The limestone caves are said to be about 400 million years old and were once used as shelter by the indigenous Temuan people. In 1878 a Hindu temple was dedicated to Lord Murugan within the caves.
KL Bird Park in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
We had a great time at the KL Bird Park. It is the largest open air aviary in the world with more than 3,000 local and foreign birds. It is huge with plenty to see. Plus the monkeys have broken in and are wandering about stealing the fruit for the birds. So that does keep it interesting.
Botanical Gardens Butterfly Park in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
We gave ourselves a holiday treat and spent the day at the Kuala Lumpur Botanical Gardens and truly enjoyed the peacefulness of the Butterfly Park. It is filled with beautiful tropical plants, pathways and of course butterflies.

Kuala Lumpur Malaysia China Town, Petaling Street and Central Market
Our China Town visit included about 7 hours of wandering around to see what there is to see. There is a lot. We also stopped by Petaling Street, an open air Shopping Street that is full of shopping and ummmm knock offs. If you want it. It is there. I am not a big shopper, but it was definitely worth the visit just to check it out.
The Amazing Kuala Lumpur Forest Eco Park
Kuala Lumpur Forest Eco Park Malaysia is located in Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve (a hill dipterocarp forest). It is approximately 25 acres of all up and down….and an amazing Forest Canopy walk. Believe it or not it is in the middle of KL near the KLCC.

The 188 Suites hosted by CoBnB is a pretty great apt located in the KLCC Area. Just a 8 min walk from the Monorail stop Bukit Nanas and a 10-15 min walk to the Twin Towers and the KLCC Suria Mall. Wow What a Find Nadia Café KL Malaysia
We took a walk in Little India Brickfields area of KL today. Super easy area to get to by public transport. Just go to Sentral KL station. Go into Sentral Mall and head toward the Monorail. There is a covered elevated crosswalk that will set you down at the outside edge of the area. There are plenty of local food stalls, hawkers and restaurants. Some lovely fountains and street art as well. I will do a separate post about that later as there is lots to tease the senses. However the highlight of the day was lunch at Nadia Café. It was a delight.
