Preah Khan Temple is located in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Angkor Temple Complex at Siem Reap Cambodia. Preah Khan was originally known as Nagar Jayasri which means Royal Sword or Holy Sword. The temple was built in the 12th Century and the complex covers 138 acres.
Preah Khan is now a Buddhist Temple. The Temple is built in a one story design of interconnecting rooms with over 430 shrines to deities on the site. There are also amazingly well-preserved carvings which depict Vishnu, Krishna, Shiva, and Brahma.
This is a must see temple. It stands in a semi ruin state that just adds to its charm.
