Phimeanakas Temple in the Angkor Thom at the Angkor Wat Complex

And now the Phimeanakas Temple in the Angkor Thom at the Angkor Wat Complex just outside Siem Reap Cambodia.

Phimeanakas Temple (translates to Celestial Palace)also know as Vimeanakas Temple is a Hindu temple built in the late 10th century in the Khleang style.

Phimeanakas Temple has had a vast amount of restoration and is now assessable from behind and to the right of Baphuon Temple. You can now pass through the temple grounds past the 2 pools and exit out the side leading toward the Elephant terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.  This means you can be dropped at Bayon Temple (which is amazing), walk across the street to Baphuon Temple with its grand elevated entrance, then on to Phimeanakas Temple with exit access to the the Terraces. Meeting your transport at the Angkor Lunch location across the main road.  This is a fantastic couple to 5 hours depending on how long you spend at each temple and if you are going to climb to the top of each of them.  I highly recommend a bottle of water. #siemreapcambodia
