Angkor Thom South Gate also know as Tonle Om Gate was built in the late 12th century by King Jayavarman VII. It is one of the 5 gates into the royal city of Angkor Thom. The bridge over the moat is about 150 feet long and has 54 stone figures along the stone railings. Walking the causeway is a beautiful way to enter the Temple complex of Angkor Thom as it gives you a chance to appreciate the size and majesty of the temples to come.
