Amazing Carved Relief at Terrace of the Leper King Angkor Thom Siem Reap Cambodia

Terrace of the Leper King was built in the late 12th century and is a 80 foot long elevated platform for viewing parades and to hold audiences with the people. It is believed it is built to represent Mount Meru of Buddhist and Hindu belief. The base of the terrace is covered with amazing high relief sculptures of Celestial Beings, armed guardians, Garudas and Nagas. It is just beautiful definitely worth the visit. It is directly next to the Terrace of the Elephants in the Angkor Thom area in the UNESCO Angkor Wat area just outside of Siem Reap Cambodia.
