The Amazing Kuala Lumpur Forest Eco Park

Kuala Lumpur Forest Eco Park Malaysia is located in Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve (a hill dipterocarp forest). It is approximately 25 acres of all up and down….and an amazing Forest Canopy walk. Believe it or not it is in the middle of KL near the KLCC.
It is easy to get to by public transit if you enter the Bukit Nanas Entry. Just exit the LRT monorail at the Bukit Nanas stop and follow the covered pathway to the entry. However be warned. This is a straight up climb of irregular stairs approximately 250 in the first set. Then there are more. There are always stairs in Asia…lol But if you would like a more tranquil experience you can take a grab or taxi to the base of the KL Tower and then turn away from the tower and you will see an entrance to the Eco forest where you can go to the canopy walk. Which is very awesome. If you watch the video you can tell how much up and down is available to walk. lol

There is a fee at the entrance where you receive an arm band so you can take your time and even go eat lunch at the KL Tower and then re-enter and hike around some more. There are about 200 meters of bridges and towers in the Canopy walk that allow you to get an entirely new view of some of the surrounding skyscrapers. Please remember to bring water and mosquito repellant as they do not have facilities inside the Eco Forest. There is a good bathroom just at the entrance to the Canopy Walk.

All in all I highly recommend putting the KL Forest Eco Park on your list of activities. It is a very memorable experience.
